Prior to founding Ingentec, Mr. Palmer served as the Director of Engineering for NFC and Contactless at Sirit, Inc. Sirit manufactured and sold RFID readers and solutions. Mr. Palmer was the primary technical advisor and developer for Sirit’s work in the 13.56Mhz NFC market. He was Sirit’s representative to the NFC Forum standards organization (www.nfc-forum.org) and was instrumental in developing Sirit’s roadmap for the NFC market. Prior to this, Mr. Palmer was the Principal Systems Architect for IPIX’s video security division. In this role he defined and refined the requirements and goals for the IPIX cameras. He was a co-author of IPIX’s DARPA giga-pixel camera proposal which was subsequently awarded to IPIX. He architected, oversaw the implementation and managed the installation and operation of the IPIX video monitoring system for the 2004 G8 Summit.

Mr. Palmer has worked in the embedded product design market for over 20 years, combining strong applied engineering experience in embedded hardware and software with system level vision to assemble the details into a broader solution. This technical experience is wrapped with the business experience and communication skills required to effectively sell products and solutions.

Mr. Palmer has Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He has four patents for communication protocols and data transmission related to lighting control systems and has patents applied for in the field of advanced video surveillance systems.
